Like many of you, like myself, enjoy is playing
farmville on
facebook.com instead of
farmville.com because, of course, you can't instant messenger (
IM) chat with your
facebook buddies while playing.
There is a way to play on
farmville.com and chat with your buddies at the same time. You just simply need to install an outside chat program that supports the
facebook IM chat. My favorite one is
Pidgin because of the different chat programs it supports.
Pidgin supports
AIM,
Myspace,
yahoo and all the other well known instant messenger chats that are out there.
Personally, my preference with using pidgin is how you can use your favorite it is possible to
IM chat all in one program instead of in several. Instead of having to run AIM, Yahoo and Jabber all at the same time you can run them all in one chat program instead of several. The more programs you are running on your PC, the slower it will begin to run. Now what can be cooler than to be able to chat with all of your Friends in more than one chat program at the same time.
The downside is that you are unable to use
facemoods in pidgin. I have to admit though that
facemoods has it's quality but the only time I used it was when it first got installed than just sat there forgotten.
Pidgin was originally written to run in
ubuntu but is available for Mac OS, Linux and windows.
